^Space - MY space^

Everyone deserves their personal space - to breathe and be themselves. Whether to poop, blech, embrass themselves, love or hate, everyone deserves their right for privacy.

So when are you encroaching on another's personal space?

Is it when the person starts rejecting your offers? Or start giving away your precious and thoughtful gifts? Or is it when they start giving unemotional answers to questions they never gave much thought to?

When do you find out enough is enough and understand the need for some distance?

When I was undergoing training in customer service, I learnt of the existence of an invisible circle drawn around every individual. It's not easy to enter this invisible circle, known as one's personal space. Beyond this comfort zone lies our inner emotions and actual selves. To bring another to such depths require much trust, faith and respect.

When feelings are changed or lost over time, those on the inside can soon find themselves on the outside. How then can they cope with their new status? Or can they even?

Too much efforts put into the relationship, too much pain endured over the years, too much at stake to lose.
